Umar began his education at the Federal Polytechnic Staff School, Bauchi. He attended Federal Government College, Azare and proceeded to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi where he bagged a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science in 2002. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Bayero University, Kano and is currently pursuing a Masters degree.
Before Joining Reemee Medicare Nigeria Limited, Umar had served in various organizations. He was an industrial training support officer at the National Universities commission(NUC) in 2000 and served the National Youth Service Corps programme at Ungogo Local Government Area Council in Kano state as a Computer Instructor in 2003. He worked with Intercellur Nigeria Plc as Billing System Administrator from 2004 until 2008 when he took the mantle of leadership at Reemee Medicare Nigeria Limited.
Though a computer scientist by training, he has not faltered since he took charge of the management of the clinic after the demise of his father who founded the hospital. Umar has transformed the medical outfit into an impressive clinic that is now the pride of the people of Bauchi. Driven by the desire for innovation, hardwork and an admirable readiness to face challenges, Umar has made Reemee Medicare Nigeria Limited an essentially paperless hospital (making it the only hospital that operates online in the whole state).
